The before-and-after surgery hospital is a hospital in Gangnam. These days there are many modern-looking hospitals, but I absolutely wanted to have it done at a first-generation hospital, so I mainly had consultations at this hospital and other places that are often mentioned and are famous for calves.
My calves are a bit long, so even though they can look slim, my ankle line is straight like Astro Boy’s ankles, and quite a lot of fat can be pinched. Every time I went for a consultation, even the doctors were surprised. My legs are the fatty type and edema-prone type. The other places were good too, but unlike other hospitals, they did not overly recommend going as far as a Chanel line, and the thing I liked most was that there would be only exactly two scar sites each, on the front and back of the ankle. I chose the hospital solely because of the director, who honestly even showed me photos of side effects and explained things in a straightforward and professional way.
To be honest, the facilities are on the plain side, but that actually made me trust them more than hospitals that give flashy explanations before surgery, and I liked how they seemed to focus that much more on the surgery itself.
Day 1, it was done under sleep anesthesia, and the surgery time was about 2 hours / recovery time about 30 minutes. It really felt simple, like I had come out after receiving a procedure rather than surgery. After the surgery, before they wrapped the bandage, I caught a glimpse of my legs, and my legs had really become so thin ㅠㅠ They said I would have to wait about 3 months, after most of the swelling goes down, to see those legs again, but I am so excited.
I was extremely worried, but after coming out, I had no trouble walking enough to stop by the mart and buy groceries (I even ran lol). They said days 2 through 7 would be very swollen, so I managed it by wearing compression stockings and taking the prescribed medication + separate swelling-related medicine I bought at the pharmacy.
Today, day 22, These are photos I took after receiving my 2nd radiofrequency session and coming home. From my ankle line to the thickest part of my calves, which used to be puffy, they have definitely slimmed down a lot.
The swelling started going down quickly from week 2, and right now I still have some bruising and some bumpy firmness left. When I look at reviews of other hospitals with many reviews, there are lots of stories about fluid leaking a lot or not coming out until the end, so the consultant squeezes it out by force, but maybe because this place does not inject an excessive amount of fluid, the amount of pure fat extracted was not absurdly high either, and there was no fluid leaking a lot during the recovery process. I really highly recommend this hospital..
When I looked at liposuction reviews, there were too few reviews for this hospital, so I felt it was a shame and am posting this review. If I have time, I will post a follow-up review later too! Oh, and I heard that if anyone getting a procedure at this hospital says you came through a mutual referral, there is a small event, so if you are going, please leave a comment and let’s share with each other :)
