It has been 3 months since I had incisional double eyelid surgery at a clinic. I thought my eyes were not suitable for the buried suture method, so I mainly researched hospitals that were good at incisional surgery, and when I went for consultations, most of them recommended incision/partial incision too.
After considering several places, I chose based on it not being a large hospital + the surgeon's operative experience, and had surgery with the director. During the surgery, they woke me up and had me open and close my eyes several times, so I didn't have to worry about things like substitute surgery!
For me, the most important thing was a natural look rather than something dramatic, so I wanted a thin inline crease that was almost like an inner double eyelid, but they advised me against making it too thin, saying everyone regrets it later, so we set it a bit higher than I had imagined. Right after surgery I was worrying, wondering if it was too high; but after 3 months, my left eye has become completely like an inner double eyelid, and the right is slightly thicker, but it turned out so natural that I even think maybe I could have set it a little higher, so I'm satisfied hahaha Most of all, after double eyelid surgery, even when I open my eyes clearly, my eyelashes no longer curl inward, so it doesn't hurt. I'm most satisfied with the functional aspect.
