As my mom has gradually gotten older, the skin around her eyes sagged noticeably more than other areas, and seeing her upset because people thought she looked much older than her actual age made me feel bad, so I arranged surgery for her. We were deciding between upper blepharoplasty and a brow lift, and because they said the degree of skin sagging was severe, she had a brow lift. Her under-eye area was protruding unevenly, so she also had lower blepharoplasty. For the brow lift, the surgical scar is under the eyebrow, so unlike double eyelid surgery, I think the scar will not be very visible. Her eyes look more defined, so she likes it. For the lower blepharoplasty, since she still seems to be in the recovery period, there is a lot of swelling and bruising, so we’re planning to go for one more follow-up.
