I looked into it a lot because I have freckles on my face, and they say the ruby laser is excellent. But the wavelength differs by clinic, so some clinics can do it in 1 session, while others require 4-5 sessions or more. Since I work at a company and didn’t feel confident about going multiple times, I chose a clinic where just 1 session would be enough. It does cost that much, but I get it once a year whenever freckles come up. They say it doesn’t work on melasma, so if you only have freckles, try getting laser treatment once.
