The consultation manager, front desk staff, and doctor were all kind. It was my first time seeing a doctor greet me at the start of a consultation by saying, “Hello, I’m ㅇㅇㅇ.” Since I was looking into jaw contouring, I shared the areas that stress me out and the opinions of doctors at the clinics I had consulted with so far. Interestingly, opinions on my jaw were split half and half between “it should be set back” and “it should not be set back.” I feel like I’m going to become indecisive, but that’s something I’ll decide again later. Anyway, they used their hands to show the kind of face I could expect after surgery, and explained while drawing on the monitor too. Honestly, because contouring needs to be approached carefully, I’ll be going for consultations at other clinics as well, but I think this consultation will become my reference point. Rather than deciding just because they’re kind, the doctor and my needs have to align, and above all, it has to be safe. So even if it’s a hassle, I think it’s good to do a lot of legwork like I did.
