Before after after after Week 1 After consulting with the director, I decided on surgery right away. On the day of surgery, I fasted for 6 hours before going into surgery, and what I personally liked most was that the director only performs 2 surgeries a day.
I also liked the thoughtful consideration of playing pop music in the operating room to ease tension, the fact that they put up the photos I wanted in the operating room, and that the director came in, personally designed the nose, and then anesthesia began.
I usually swell a lot, so I was worried, but there was less swelling than expected. Because cotton was placed in my nose, when I woke up in the morning my throat and mouth were dry, but other than that there was no discomfort, and I didn’t feel even a bit of pain in my nose. The director’s technique seems really amazing...ㅎ
What bothered me the most was bruising. There were bluish marks around my eyes and nose, but now they have almost disappeared, and the major swelling is gradually going down. Because of the swelling, the nose shape looked a little different from what I expected, but even so, I think the line came out well, like when I first consulted with the director.
Whenever I visit the hospital, Director Kim Jin-woo personally checks my nose every time, so every time I visit, I feel like I made the right choice choosing this hospital. The director seems to prioritize facial harmony above all, so if you want a nose that is natural but suits your face, I think K Plus would be a good choice.
Week 2 During the first week, the swelling and bruising were severe, but by week 2, they had improved a lot. Especially the bruising around the eyes and nose has almost disappeared, and the swelling has gone down a lot. But the nasal tip is still a little swollen, and I do feel a slight pressure along the nasal bridge, but overall it feels much more natural.
The nose shape has not completely stabilized yet. At first, after the splint was removed, I worried that the glabella area and nasal tip might be too high or unnatural, but by week 2, a more natural line is gradually appearing! Of course, there is still some swelling left, but as time passes, I’m starting to expect that it will become an even prettier shape. At first, the surgical area hurt and throbbed, but now in week 2, I’m almost pain-free.
Sometimes I even forget that I had rhinoplasty and just go about my day! And I really realized that post-op care is important. First, I took swelling medication available at the pharmacy as consistently as possible, and I did warm compresses about 4-5 times a day, so I feel like my swelling and bruising went down faster than other people’s!!
Week 2 is not yet the point where I feel a huge change, but I’m looking forward to the changes over the next few months! It feels like my nose shape gets prettier little by little every day, so I’m happy every morning!!
Week 3 After 3 weeks since surgery, my nose condition has stabilized a lot. During the first and second weeks after surgery, there was a lot of swelling and bruising, but as time passed, I could feel myself gradually recovering. Some swelling still remains, but it has gone down a lot compared with before. Especially the swelling under the eyes and around the nasal bridge has decreased, so my face looks more natural.
Now I have almost no pain, and I’m slowly wearing makeup too. Even with slight touches, I don’t feel much pain! There is still a little swelling at the nasal tip, but overall I’m very satisfied. Compared with my old appearance, a more refined and natural line has been created, and I’m very satisfied that the overall balance looks good! Now in week 3, I’m much more comfortable than before, and the nose shape is becoming more and more natural.
