-What I wanted I wanted the nasal bridge to become high and defined~ I didn't want an extremely thin, chalk-like nasal bridge, just an appropriate height that suited the area of my face..? Since I thought I might hear about osteotomy, when I was looking for clinics I intentionally searched for and chose a clinic good at surgery involving bone.. Honestly, I'm proud of myself for setting criteria like this and going around to consultations. Some people may not want their nasal bridge narrowed, but there must be others here like me who are concerned about a thick bony framework.. Because “osteotomy” means handling bone, I think it's important to look for a clinic director who has done many related surgeries...!
-Surgery I had silicone placed in the nasal bridge, and the nasal tip was operated on with septal cartilage. From what I observed about the director, he really seemed to use only the materials that were necessary. He recommended only the necessary surgery and necessary materials. Rather than trying to add something special, or saying I needed alar base reduction, and upselling in that way, I preferred a clinic that only talked about surgeries that had to be done to see an effect, to the point where I wondered whether this was really enough. In the end, for the nasal bridge I only had a partial osteotomy, and I did not have alar base reduction.
-What I like As I said in the title, the columella line is the part I like the most.. Honestly, the difference between whether the nasal tip and columella are more projected or recessed is really important. I think that 1 mm difference can make the nasal tip look droopy, or if it's reduced too much, it can become a factor that makes it obviously look surgically altered. A director who matches your aesthetic sense is really important, but as a plastic surgeon, when looking at the patient, the concept of how the shape should be made also seems to need to align well between both sides.
I don't know how everyone is choosing clinics, but it is very important to set your own criteria as you go around. Don't decide after being swayed by what the consultant or director says; study a lot specifically to acquire information, then think objectively when you go for consultations! After thinking carefully until the end, deciding on the place where you feel certain is the right thing to do.
