Before surgery, I had a very big concern about my protruding lower jaw, but after surgery, the change was dramatic As for changes during recovery after surgery, now that I am at 3 months, the swelling is definitely continuing to go down little by little compared with the beginning. Because I look in the mirror every day, I do not feel a huge change myself, but when I checked in photos, I could clearly feel the difference. And this is the important review about sensory recovery. During the first 1-2 months after surgery, sensation improved little by little, but I could not feel a major change. But around 3 months, recovery was so fast that I wondered, did I really regain this much sensation? I think sensation in the upper jaw area has returned to about 80% of before surgery, and the lower jaw has also improved a lot. However, recovery is slow in a few areas of the lower jaw. It is not that there is no sensation at all; it is a tingling feeling and a sensation I can feel when I place my hand on it. When I asked the director about this, he told me not to worry because it is slowly recovering.
