<They gave me a heat/cold pack and a pore brush> I had surgery at Seoul ㅅㅇㅋ at the end of September, and it’s been about 3 months now. Personally, the width of my nostril wings bothered me so much every time I looked in the mirror, and on top of that, maybe because the horizontal length of my lips is short, my nose looked even more prominent.
I had a first consultation over KakaoTalk that barely felt like a consultation. They looked at photos of my nose from the front and from below, and said that even if I did it, it would be hard for me to see a dramatic effect. I liked that they were honest, but it was still such a complex for me, so since I had made up my mind, I decided to go ahead and booked a consultation date. I was basically looking for the answer I wanted^_^
I didn’t shop around and chose one clinic right away, booking consultation and surgery for the same day. The reason was that, by my standards, it wasn’t a very major surgery, and I chose it because it was a clinic well known for alar reduction and had done a lot of alar reductions. They also said revision surgery within 1 year would be free, and I had looked it up online for a long time too. My personality is the type that once I decide, I just do it, and I really hate bothersome things.. I just wanted to do it here, so I chose the clinic I felt drawn to.
After the consultation ended, the director came in after a little while and explained the overall surgical process and consulted with me on how much could be reduced. (They tell you how many millimeters they will reduce in the operating room.) The director also didn’t really recommend any other surgeries and simply explained what it would be like if I had the surgery. Then I had the surgery, rested for a bit afterward, and went home. Right after it, it didn’t hurt much, and even though it was swollen, I could see it was smaller than before, so I felt good. I picked up my medication and went home.. but that day my nose and head hurt so much. So I recommend eating bland food quickly and taking your medication.
In the end, I’m happy with the alar reduction. I don’t have any particular side effects, and maybe because I’m not the sensitive type, I don’t see anything that seems like a problem. I think it’s an ordinary, safe, average clinic. This is not an ad.
