I had partial-incision double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty (last year) + additional secondary epicanthoplasty this summer, so I’ll write the combined cost of the two procedures. I’m not posting or showing photos. * But honestly, I don’t remember the exact first-surgery amount very well. Anyway, it was in the mid-2 millions plus 1.6 million for the secondary epicanthoplasty.
After the first surgery, recovery was really fast and the scar was not as noticeable as I expected, but to be honest, while my impression improved after the first surgery, the epicanthoplasty wasn’t enough, so I had it done again. There was an extra charge for the epicanthoplasty! I wasn’t able to get aftercare for dissatisfaction with the shape, and they charged the secondary surgery price, which was a little disappointing, but that’s the hospital policy :) Still, for a year after the first surgery, I could rub my eyes without worry and go about my life comfortably, and I only made my epicanthoplasty look more open with makeup.
* Even though I was dissatisfied with the epicanthoplasty shape after the first surgery, the reason I paid a high price for secondary epicanthoplasty here was that the double-eyelid line and suturing were amazing, and I also thought that it was partly my fault for not clearly saying what I wanted when setting the line myself. So I decided to just go back to the place I had trusted from the beginning.
As expected, recovery after the secondary surgery was really fast too. Now it has healed naturally and looks like my own eyes. There is still some Mongolian fold descending downward, but I think that is the limit of my original eyes. (The director really does not leave much scarring and only performs the minimum necessary surgery. If the epicanthic fold were removed more here, there could be a lot of scarring, and since I also have a nose surgery plan, I think they adjusted it to match my proportions. Even before the nose surgery, I’m very satisfied!)
These days my impression has become much better in a natural way, so I just go out barefaced. I’m someone who hates anything artificial, so my personal satisfaction is at the highest level (I also often get told my eyes are attractive, which makes me happy haha). I’ll use the receipt proof as the reservation deposit I paid for the secondary epicanthoplasty on 6/13 instead, since I wasn’t planning to post a review and just threw it away•••!
I heard this place is famous for noses, so I booked consultations with both Dr. Kim Se-young and Director Kim Jin-woo for my nose. If I end up getting it done here, I’ll leave another review.
Conclusion: recovery period is very short; it’s more expensive than other hospitals, but if you think of it as a safety cost to avoid worrying about side effects, it’s not a bad price; if you want a natural-looking eye, just go with Dr. Kim Se-young without hesitation.
