<I took this because I found it interesting during the consultation.. I thought there were only in-line and out-line creases>Places I had consultations: ㅌㅇㅅ( ㅣㅔㅡ), ㅁㅊㅍ (ㅏㅣㅁㅛ), ㅇㄹ (ㅗㄹㅗ) Average quote: between 1.6 and 2 million KRW (for a first surgery, with an incisional method)
ㅌㅇㅅ( ㅣㅔㅡ): Incision + ptosis correction + upper eyelid fat repositioning -Waited more than 30 minutes. -They gave the consultation while considering both non-incisional and incisional possibilities. -The consultant mostly just explained the price and went over the diagnosis again without much extra explanation. It was nice that it didn’t feel pressuring, but there wasn’t anything that really pulled me in. -Rather than a detailed explanation of the surgical method, the director seemed very confident. It felt like they only explained the surgical direction? saying I could trust them and go ahead with the surgery. -The director spoke a bit fast, so it did feel rushed, but that doesn’t mean it was bad. Still, I regretted not being able to ask many questions. -They designed an in-out crease for me. They said an incisional method would fix the crease better, and when they only tested the crease, the fat above my eyes protruded a lot, so they recommended repositioning it. -They said swelling laser treatment is unlimited for one month. -AS period: 1 year.
ㅁㅊㅍ (ㅏㅣㅁㅛ): Incisional double eyelid surgery -Waited about 10 minutes? The wait was relatively short before I could have the consultation. -They said because my eyes are slightly asymmetrical, incisional double eyelid surgery would be right for me. They also said my eyes need fat removal. -They did not recommend making the crease much higher. They recommended making it just slightly higher, and said even if I had canthoplasty, there isn’t enough extra space so it wouldn’t make a big difference, so they suggested just doing the double eyelids. -Swelling laser treatment and injections are available. I don’t remember the duration. -Maybe because it’s a one-doctor clinic, it was a bit hard to schedule a surgery date. They said many dates were already full, so I’d need to contact them in advance to get the date I want. -The director was kind, and it felt like they had a very clear idea of the look they pursue? It seemed like they don’t recommend going excessively beyond that. Still, they kept guiding the consultation while letting me continue asking questions. -I think it would suit everyone who wants a natural crease rather than a flashy-yet-natural look! I liked the crease too, but I’m worried that if I only do double eyelid surgery, my eye size won’t change and only a crease will suddenly appear ㅠㅠ -AS period: 2 years.
ㅇㄹ (ㅗㄹㅗ): Incision + ptosis correction -Waited about 15 minutes. Personally, I feel like private clinics are better organized with appointments. -They said my eyes protrude a little. They didn’t just say it by looking; they had some kind of measuring device..? and checked with that. It was my first time seeing that while going around consultations, so it was interesting and felt somewhat professional. I was relieved when they said protruding eyes are easier to operate on than sunken eyes. -They also said my eyes are asymmetrical. Both sides are asymmetrical, and I have a lot of tissue on my upper eyelids, so they recommended an incisional method. But they said I don’t need fat repositioning! -They designed an in-out crease, and since I don’t have epicanthal folds and my eyes can naturally get bigger with just ptosis correction, they did not recommend canthoplasty. -They provide swelling injections and laser treatment. They said they do it each time I come in for follow-up. -The director explains calmly and in great detail. They also checked in between to see if I understood, and even when I asked one small thing, they didn’t answer vaguely but explained point by point, which I liked. -AS period: 3 years.
Common points: Overall, there wasn’t much pressure to book. Some clinics had discount systems and some didn’t, but they didn’t pressure me to make a reservation because of that. Since the atmosphere wasn’t forceful, I think it felt comfortable. But even though this is my first surgery, I was surprised that the cost jumps more than expected with an incision ㅜㅜ Seeing that most places are similar, it seems to be the average these days.. ㅠㅠ There is a clinic I like, but my personality is so indecisive and full of worries..^^ My goal is to think about it more, visit a few more consultations next week, and schedule the surgery date before January. The AS period is longest at the third clinic, and I’m leaning more toward a one-doctor clinic than a large hospital, so for now I’m most interested in the last clinic.
