It's been two months now. They say the nose looks worst at the two-month mark, but maybe because I'm not very sensitive, I just think it looks more or less the same as when it was taken out
The clinic said the surgery nose would end up somewhere between my original nose and the implant nose, and it really is a nose in between.
The bridge has gotten much lower, back to the same as my original nose, and the tip is higher than my original nose but lower than the surgery nose, so it's an in-between nose.
So I guess that's why they call it an in-between nose??
After taking it out, the middle of my face looks shorter, so I look a lot younger, and my face looks more relaxed. A natural face...
The downside is that I really went back to having a completely flat space between my brows, like my original nose, so my eyeballs stick out more than the bridge of my nose now That was a complex of mine even with my original nose.. and now it's back But maybe because the tip is a bit higher, it doesn't bother me much. It definitely seems like the tip affects the overall face shape more.
Even if you raise the bridge, only the side view changes, and unless you're taking photos, people don't really notice it apart from the more three-dimensional look.
And you can create a bridge with makeup anyway so I don't worry about it much.
Every nose is different and every surgical method is different, so I can't recommend or not recommend anything lightly... but after going to consultations at different clinics, you get a rough idea of what to do.
Among the clinics I consulted, more than half said it's okay to remove it, that it would go back to my original nose or become an in-between nose, so I thought it was a nose that could be removed, and I decided based on price, facilities, and reviews about how kind they were. Any clinic will have negative reviews, so I don't think deciding based only on overwhelmingly good reviews is a good idea.
For removal, I think people who don't have any more greed for the shape, who have emptied out their expectations and want to live without an implant no matter what nose shape comes out, those are the people who don't seem to regret it.
For those about to get removal, don't worry too much, and while going to consultations, think carefully about why you want the removal and whether you really are done with caring about the nose shape, then make your decision.
It doesn't turn into some horribly smashed monster nose anyway,,, and in the end, other people really don't pay much attention to someone else's nose
