After<after surgery>Before<before surgery>Hello, if I tell you my nose surgery story, it has truly been a long journey. My first surgery began when I didn’t even know what septal cartilage or osteotomy meant. I went to a hospital where an acquaintance of my mom’s worked, suddenly decided to have surgery, and lost the pretty and cute natural nose I was born with. My nose, which originally had a straight center, suddenly became crooked and upturned. Anyone who has heard people around them say, “Why did you even get your nose done?” would know, but I couldn’t go back to before surgery, and I was really deeply upset because of my nose. This dissatisfaction continued for about a year, and I had a consultation with the director who had done my surgery. When he said it could return to something similar to my previous nose, I decided on removal. I thought it was a complete removal, but guess what. After the removal surgery, I found out that Medpor and AlloDerm had been inserted.. (Huh? Then why did they call it removal ㅠ) I kept living with stress from the hard columella caused by Medpor and the lowered nasal bridge from the osteotomy. Through this, I learned the lesson that “you shouldn’t have another surgery at the hospital that botched it,” and I decided on a third surgery. Maybe because I had repeated failures, by the time of my third surgery, I was still visiting this community a lot and gathering information here and there, to the point where if I heard a plastic surgery clinic’s name I would go, “Ah~ that place,” so I had grown(?) haha. But then something happened that made all that effort useless.. A close friend had succeeded with her first nose surgery at a large hospital running an event, and while I was exhausted from researching hospitals, I don’t know what possessed me, but I ended up having my third surgery there. Of course, mine failed. Fortunately, I didn’t get contracture, but I spent another 2 years with the ugliest nose I had ever had in my life. During those 2 years, I think I debated whether to have another revision a million times. With a positive mindset, if I only looked at the pretty parts of my face, I thought, let’s just live like this... But objectively, my nose looked so bad. That was exactly how it felt. Anyway, with the mindset that I shouldn’t keep feeling anxious, I spent 6 months to a year doing a lot of online research and in-person consultations, and finally met the hospital where I could graduate from surgery. Compared to other hospitals, the consultation was concise, and I can’t say I was extremely satisfied, but the director was really confident. Most importantly, I saw noses of people who had surgery at that hospital in person or in photos, and they were all~~ unbelievably pretty and handsome. Before surgery, I had seen posts saying things like, “If you get it done at this hospital, you’ll get inflammation,” or “the doctor isn’t a plastic surgery specialist.” But after surgery, based on what I felt myself, I now think those posts might have been written by brokers from competing hospitals. Because among the dozens of patients I met, there wasn’t a single case of inflammation. And people who come here would of course search and know that he is not a plastic surgery specialist, but after doing my online and in-person research and actually having surgery myself, I felt that for cosmetic surgery, as long as they are all surgeons, each individual’s innate aesthetic sense and manual skill are what matter, not which specialty they trained in. I’ve also seen many people with similar cases, including myself, who entrusted their noses to plastic surgery specialists or ENT specialists and ended up in truly despairing situations. I really think it depends on the individual. Please judge the nose shape by looking at the before-and-after photos~
The most important and most-asked hospital name is Mijak. The director is one doctor, Dr. Ahn Eun-mo. These days, people don’t really write hospital names and say they’ll send them by message, so I’m not sure if it’s okay to disclose the hospital name. If it’s not allowed, please write it in the comments ㅠ It’s only been about ten days since surgery, so it may feel early to write this kind of post.. But as you know, when surgery succeeds, people don’t really come back to community sites.
