Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> Next month will mark half a year since my nose surgery, so I’m writing a review because I’m curious how the shape looks now! Before surgery, I had a typical hooked nose, and after nose surgery, I wanted to correct the hump and have a natural straight-to-slightly-curved nose that wasn’t too much! But I also thought that if it was raised too dramatically, it wouldn’t suit my features, so I hoped the director would raise it just enough to suit me.
Anyone with a hooked nose probably knows that it makes the nasal tip look even more droopy.. lol So I thought that if I got nose surgery, of course I’d have to use something like rib cartilage or silicone, right? (Other clinics actually diagnosed me that way too!) But at this clinic, the director heard exactly what kind of image I wanted: *I don’t like anything excessive, I want to correct the hooked nose, I want the nasal tip raised moderately*, and said I wouldn’t need silicone. That was so fascinating.... I asked several times if that was really true, and the director confidently said that even with no implant, since I already had a basic nasal bridge, it would look sufficiently high.
So, following the director’s recommendation, I used no implant + septal cartilage + ear cartilage as the materials. Oh, and dermis from behind the ear was also used for the nasal tip! Other places said I had to use rib cartilage and that osteotomy was essential, but compared to that, this clinic really recommended the minimum since it was my first surgery. It was so fascinating. They also said I had enough septal cartilage material, so that alone would be enough to raise the nasal tip, and I trusted the director’s words and decided to have the surgery! Honestly, I did have some worries, but I had already read so many reviews, every single one of them, so I thought I should trust the decision I’d already made and go through with it.
But seriously..... the design came out exactly as the director said lol The hump was cleanly removed, and as the director said, I think the nasal tip was raised nicely and defined! I looked at my pre-surgery nose photos for the first time in a while, and it’s such a contrast between now and before surgery.. lol I’m really, really satisfied, and before, I absolutely hated having side-profile photos taken because of my nose, but these days I actually like them. Now I even enjoy showing the bridge of my nose clearly with my hand like that ^^
My nose almost ended up needing osteotomy and even rib cartilage? But thankfully, I met a specialist director and my nose surgery was successful, so I’m rea~lly glad. Seeing things like this, I hope everyone realizes how important it is to go around to several consultations before deciding, so I’m writing this post!
Lastly...... my hooked nose correction turned out well, right? Hehe. Next month will be six months, and I’m recovering well without any problems at all~
