<Top is before, bottom is after><Looking down, before and after>I had my third double-eyelid surgery last week. My double eyelids kept getting smaller and shrinking unevenly, so I was really stressed, and I got the surgery while taking a break from work. I had ptosis correction and revision surgery (incisional). The height was set at about 9 mm, and they said because the previous hospital had overdone the medial epicanthoplasty, only an outline crease was possible ㅠ So I went with an outline crease. For 10 days after surgery, I was worried because my left eye didn’t close well, but now it closes well, thankfully hahaha.
Because the previous hospital had damaged the structure of my eyes, the surgery took almost about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Maybe because I’m a nurse, they explained the condition inside my eyes one by one during the surgery. I had emphasized symmetry as much as possible, and they adjusted it while having me close and open my eyes dozens of times. The bruising and swelling haven’t gone down completely yet, but I think it will look more natural once they’re fully gone.
The treatment-room staff member removed the stitches carefully even though it stung a bit, and it wasn’t uncomfortable at all. And when I went to see the director for the follow-up, maybe because they were busy, I waited almost 30-40 minutes in an empty consultation room ㅠ Even when I glanced outside, no one seemed to care, so I went out once and told them, and they said they would check the situation again. I felt like there was no explanation about the delay and no further attention being paid to the waiting customer? That kind of feeling. Because of my job, that stood out to me a lot. Anyway, when I talked with the director about the part I was worried about, that my eye didn’t close fully, they said it would close with time, and if it felt uncomfortable, to come to the hospital right away and they would look for what they could do, so I felt reassured.
The line right now isn’t perfectly symmetrical either, but I know that because of my eye structure, whatever I do, my eyes are inevitably uneven, so I’m not hoping for much more. I think this degree of difference in the lines is okay. I just hope it doesn’t change more ㅠ I’m very satisfied in that regard!
