I did not really want to touch anything unnecessarily, so only nose surgery? Nose surgery! I looked for places specializing in it. When I researched online, I looked at about 4 to 5 places, but after actually visiting clinics, there was one place I immediately liked the most, so I set a date and went ahead with it. For the surgery, they placed a slightly thin implant on the nasal bridge, shaved down the hump, and also did two functional nose procedures. Maybe because the hump was severe, the inside of my nose also had issues, like a deviated septum...! During consultation, I said, please make the nasal tip sharp!!! Please make it sharp, and the nasal tip really is sharp hahaha They used donated costal cartilage for the nasal tip. I was debating between autologous costal cartilage and donated costal cartilage.
The director said that for a first surgery, autologous costal cartilage can feel a bit burdensome, so many people choose donated costal cartilage. I did want autologous costal cartilage, but both are costal cartilage anyway? Autologous costal cartilage felt a bit scary, so I went with donated costal cartilage! I had sedation anesthesia, and I told them my nasal skin seemed too thick, so I hoped it would look thinner.
The director said that if the skin is thin, the silicone can actually show through, so we decided to make it look moderate, with the starting point between the eyebrows not too high and slightly lower than my original nose.... The result seems like a huge success.
The hump nose, which I thought was my biggest complex and source of stress, is gone, and that alone feels so amazing. I really love how smooth my nose has become from the bridge to the tip, smooth enough to slide down like a slide!!!
