In the winter of 2020, I decided to get double eyelid surgery, and while looking for the most famous plastic surgery clinic in Cheongju, I ended up going to Yonsei Plastic Surgery. This hospital was the most recognized and famous in Cheongju. As rumored, it was hard to get an appointment, but since it was my first double eyelid surgery more than anything, I didn’t want it to fail, so I waited patiently, made a consultation appointment, and went. During the consultation with the director, I said I absolutely wanted it to look natural, and I said I wouldn’t mind even if it became inner double eyelids. Since I had gone after hearing a lot of bad things about ptosis correction, I said I didn’t want ptosis correction either, but he said he would do just a very small amount, so in the end I decided on partial incision + ptosis correction. (He said it would also be good to do epicanthoplasty, but since I wasn’t very interested, he didn’t pressure me.) Overall, he listened well to what I said, and there was no pressure(?) of any kind. And on the day of surgery, I only had local anesthesia, and I think it ended pretty quickly, in about 1 hour?? After surgery, there wasn’t much discomfort or pain, and as the hospital told me, I diligently followed the hot and cold compress periods, and I applied the ointment well too. After one week, the swelling had already gone down a lot, and after a month, the line was settling naturally. After double eyelid surgery, I went once to have the stitches removed, and I was supposed to go once more to check the progress, but that was a very busy season, so I couldn’t go. Actually, my right eye was so comfortable that I couldn’t feel any thread-like sensation at all, but in my left eye, I did feel something like a foreign-body sensation. I should have gone to the hospital then, but the flaw is that I couldn’t ㅠ The right side also turned out better than the left side. Anyway, time passed, and my right eye has had no problems up to now, but the left double eyelid, which sometimes formed an extra crease, recently stayed with the extra crease even after a whole day and wouldn’t go back, so I’m stressed and thinking about revision surgery..
