2 Months After Facial Contouring Surgery

I'm finally 2 months (8 weeks) after facial contouring surgery~ The swelling is going down, and only now is my face slowly starting to feel satisfying. But unless I tell my friends and family around me, no one notices...;;;; I live alone, so I didn't tell my parents, recovered alone for a month and a half, then met them as if nothing had happened, and sure enough, they didn't notice ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Unless you have a severe square jaw or cheekbones, it won't make you celebrity-level pretty, but I do think it definitely cleans up the facial line. If you go onto the operating table expecting a celebrity face, you could end up needing revision surgery or regretting it, so please make sure to consider surgery carefully!

Sensation: The recovery of sensation bothers me the most. When I touch the left cheekbone area, about 70% of the skin sensation has come back. The right cheekbone is about 80%? Sometimes when I run while exercising, I feel a slight pain. I guess I still need to be careful about running. Sensation in both sides of my jaw has all returned, and I was worried because sensation in my chin and lower lip hadn't come back, but now it's about 85% back. The areas that bother me the most right now are about 3 upper teeth and 4 lower teeth that still have no sensation, and it hurts when I chew with my front teeth, so I'm being careful because I'm afraid my teeth might get pulled out(?).. I'm praying that the normal tooth sensation comes backㅜㅜ When I saw the CT scan at 1 month, I confirmed that all the mandibular nerve lines were intact, so I'm sure it will come back....

Swelling: Some swelling has moved down toward the nasolabial folds, so when light shines straight down from above, I look like a bulldog?;; At times like this, I don't get depressed and just don't look in the mirror.... There is also a little hard swelling on both sides of the jaw, and when I touch the center of my chin, there is flesh that feels like swelling. Swelling is a battle of time, haha...

Food: I eat everything except nuts. I even just chew and eat meat. After the doctor's check at 1 month, they told me to practice opening my mouth, so I've been opening it diligently, and I can fit 3 fingers in; if I push a little more, I can fit up to 4~ I heard the scary thing that if you don't practice opening your mouth during this period, your mouth won't open, so everyone, let's practice opening our mouths~~~

Honest feelings: My lower jaw was a slightly long V-line, and my cheekbones protruded enough that people said I looked youthful, so friends ask why I had jaw surgery. But I wanted to do it because it was so stressful(?) that my chin touched my collar ㅋㅋㅋ. The change after surgery still isn't dramatic, but I was more stressed that my cheekbones and jaw were asymmetrical left and right, and the asymmetry has been corrected to a certain degree. I also grind my teeth while sleeping, so after surgery I was worried that if I ground my teeth, the screws might loosen or.. problems might happen, so I held off, but this time I made up my mind and did it. The doctor also said the screws wouldn't loosen from teeth grinding, and when I tried grinding? everything was fine. I won't remove the screws unless there is inflammation, and I won't have any more surgery. The day of this surgery was okay, but the recovery period was really painful.... I couldn't speak properly, couldn't really meet anyone, couldn't eat,,,,,,,,, It was to the point where if I could go back to before surgery, I wouldn't want to do it. Now that I've recovered to some extent, I do think it was a surgery that was manageable. I was looking through my diary and saw that I had written 2 months, so I came back to this community after a long time and left a post ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Everyone who is about to have surgery, stay strong, and I hope those who already had surgery recover well!! If I think of it later, I'll write another progress update ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
