I want to raise only my nasal tip, so I’m thinking about revision surgery. Usually for revision rhinoplasty, do they use autologous rib cartilage more often than ear cartilage??
꼬알라톨잉 I think this differs by hospital tooㅠㅠㅠ Places that handle costal cartilage well seem to always use either autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage!!!
큨큨 [@꼬알라톨잉] Oh really? Have you maybe seen any hospitals that use ear cartilage??
꼬알라톨잉 [@큨큨] If you say you want to use ear cartilage, even hospitals that do costal cartilage would probably use ear cartilage??? But since it’s revision surgery and you want to raise the nasal tip, I recommend costal cartilage.... I couldn’t do my revision with costal cartilage and used artificial cartilage, but it drooped again ...
S2o1e2 Almost all are like that, right? Ear cartilage is used a lot the first time, and for revision surgery they seemed to use autologous costal cartilage or artificial costal cartilage a lot.
꼬알라톨잉 [@S2o1e2] Yeah!! From what I see, revision cases mostly seem to use costal cartilage!!! I didn’t even know about costal cartilage when I had my revision ㅜㅠㅠㅠ I’m thinking about having a re-revision... But then again, I also see people whose nasal tips don’t drop even with ear cartilage ㅜ
큨큨 [@S2o1e2] As expected, revision surgery seems to be about costal cartilage.. I think I’d feel a bit anxious that the nasal tip might drop if ear cartilage is usedㅜㅜ
꼬알라톨잉 [@큨큨] First, do some online research to see whether they use various materials (ear cartilage, autologous costal cartilage, donated costal cartilage), then go for in-person consultations!!!
별랑몽 If it’s not contracture, ear cartilage is also used a lot.
큨큨 [@별랑몽] It’s not contracture, I just want to raise the nasal tip more!ㅠㅠ The hospital where I had my first surgery said it’s possible with ear cartilage alone.. But that hospital does surgery very naturally, so I’m worried whether they’ll make it as much like the nose I want as I hope…
별랑몽 [@큨큨] They say ear cartilage has the fewest side effects, but if you want a higher nasal tip, costal cartilage is probably the right choice.
큨큨 [@Byeollangmong] I think so tooㅠㅠ Ear cartilage can make the nasal tip droop, and since it’s a revision surgery the cost isn’t small either, so if you’re going to do it, I do think autologous costal cartilage would be better for a definite result..
별랑몽 [@Kyukkyuk] There is a difference when raising the nasal tip, but isn’t nasal tip drooping unrelated? It could droop if it was raised too much with ear cartilage or the surgery wasn’t done meticulously, but... Usually ear cartilage and septal cartilage are used a lot when going for a natural look.
믹코 Even if it’s not necessarily autologous costal cartilage, I’ve seen lots of places use donated costal cartilage too.
큨큨 [@Mikko] Oh really? But with donated costal cartilage, absorption and other things feel kind of unsettling.
도리도링도릴 It’s not always the case, but autologous costal cartilage keeps the shape from sagging and builds it up high, so I highly recommend it ㅜ If you revise with ear cartilage, you’ll probably end up going for a third surgeryㅋㅋㅋ ㅜ
큨큨 [@Doridoringdoril] Right, right. I’m holding off because I also feel like if I use ear cartilage, I’ll end up going for a third surgery… I uploaded a photo in one of my posts too. Could you take a look and tell me whether ear cartilage could raise it that much?ㅠㅠㅠ
오늘제육 Costal cartilage is used a lot, but I used donated costal cartilage at LBL! Autologous costal cartilage isn’t mandatory, so I don’t think you need to think of it that way.
큨큨 [@TodayJeyuk] Oh, so they do use donated costal cartilage too..

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 30 One-month update after full removal / nose implant removal
- Review: I’m seriously super satisfied right now - Contracture phase: I don’t even know if it has come yet; I still don’t know whether it hasn’t come or already did (about a week ago, my nose was hard for 2-3 days... maybe that was it..)-
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 I was quoted 23 million won... is this right...
I got quoted 23 million won at OO for all autologous costal cartilage.. They say it would be 18 million if I write a review ㅠㅠ Is this right? Since I have a history of 3 surgeries if I include the AS revision, I expected it to be in the ten
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 How is ㅊㅁ??
It seems like ㅊㅁ does removals regardless of the timing. Has anyone here had a removal or surgery there??
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Complete removal after one month due to nasal inflammation
I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 I’m deciding between Asan and RU! Has anyone had surgery at Asan?ˀ̣
My nose had inflammation, so everything has been removed, and I think there’s still a little inflammation left. Considering that, I feel like Asan might be the right choice, but I’m so torn because I don’t know if the shape will turn out pr
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Can contracture also occur with implant-free autologous costal cartilage?
Just as the title says…..
