I finally had my first CT scan after surgery. I went to the clinic, had my one-month follow-up, and received aftercare. I reviewed the progress with the doctor, and it was amazing to see that my cheekbones had gotten smaller and that the surgery on my front chin looked so clean and well done. The doctor also said the surgery went well.. haha I was so fascinated that I asked if I could quickly take a photo of it, got the doctor’s permission, and took a photo of my CT scan haha My jaw asymmetry was so severe that I asked them to shave down one side more.. I really talked about this with the doctor right up until the day of surgery, but they said facial contouring isn’t originally done just to correct asymmetry, so I felt a bit discouragedㅜ But they said they would try to balance it as much as possible, so I felt reassured and went into surgery. Visually, I couldn’t tell exactly whether the symmetry had been corrected, but seeing it on CT, I think it’s definitely better than beforeㅠㅠ Now I’m just going to wait for the bones to heal well. But when I compared the before-and-after CT scans, I could clearly see that the soft tissues, not the bones, are still very swollen. I hope all this swelling goes down soon ㅠㅠㅠ And I received aftercare, and it was really nice because they were thorough from exfoliation onward. After surgery, I couldn’t wash my face vigorously like before, so it felt uncomfortableㅠㅠ Also, the CAPS treatment I’d only heard about! Wow, it was my first time receiving it, and it was so good... As soon as it ended, my skin felt softer right away and some swelling had gone down too. If I could, I’d want to get it every week..... It’s only been one month, so my face still doesn’t feel like my own flesh and feels awkward, but people around me say they can see the effect, and when I take photos, I definitely feel like I’m no longer in the protruding-cheekbone phase.. I’ll only know the full effect once more swelling goes down, though.. I’ll take another CT at 3 months, and I hope my bones will be even more firmly healed by then haha
