When I was young, my mom took me by the hand and I got orthodontic treatment for a protruding mouth at a local dental clinic, but it feels like only about 1/4 of it improved... haha I was so stressed that I worked really hard researching secondary correction for a protruding mouth and had a consultation at the dental clinic I chose. They said that with a protruding mouth, there are cases where the teeth protrude and cases where the gums protrude. Mine was completely a gum protrusion case, so even pushing the teeth in had no effect.. No wonder I always felt like the area around my lips stuck out roundly like a monkey'sㅠ I had 4 teeth extracted and went through all kinds of hardship for 2 years, and it’s really good that my teeth became aligned... but I feel like the extractions were unnecessary... If you’re thinking about protruding mouth correction, I hope you definitely check whether it’s a tooth issue or a gum issue and set a clear direction before doing it
