This is my third rhinoplasty, but it was the first time anything like this happened, so thinking about how my nose will get even prettier as the swelling goes down more and it settles makes me so excited... I’m so grateful to Director Yoon Sung-won for letting me have this kind of experienceㅠㅜ....
Before having surgery at Louvre, I had revision rhinoplasty at a clinic that pretty much everyone in the know knows. I didn’t like anything from the doctor’s consultation to the design, but I thought, since it’s famous, they must be good, so I went ahead with the surgeryㅠ The result was a complete failure... I had asked for a natural look, but after paying a huge amount at a famous clinic, what I disliked most was how blunt it looked from a 45-degree angleㅠ Is this supposed to be natural.. I felt hopeless and got depressed every day thinking I had wasted my money. Then, feeling like I was grasping at my last straw, I started searching from scratch again. I went to consultations at four clinics in one day, choosing places whose review photos I liked, and Louvre was the last clinic. I thought, at this hour the doctor must be tired and would probably give me a rushed consultationㅠ but from the coordinator’s consultation to the doctor’s consultation, I liked everything so much..
Doctor’s consultation: As soon as he saw me, he analyzed my overall face shape and explained why my current nose didn’t suit me -> He told me what kind of nose would suit my face shape and asked if I was okay with it becoming much higher -> He passionately explained the surgical direction. Consultation time was about 30 minutes
He seemed confident, and even though it was late and he must have been tired, I liked that he explained everything step by step from the fundamentals and pursued natural beauty. He is also extremely meticulous.
Coordinator’s consultation: I said I additionally wanted forehead fat grafting -> The coordinator said my forehead already looked natural and refined, so it would be better not to do it -> I’m glad I didn’t do it..
The coordinator also had a calm style and said everything that needed to be said, but she spoke gently, so I felt very comfortableㅠ I’ve seen many coordinators at other clinics, and among all the ones I’ve met, she felt the most refined somehow.
My instinct was strongly telling me that I had to do it at Louvre, so I booked right away and had the surgery,, haha The result is extremely satisfying ㅠ My image changed a lot, and I keep thinking, so it was possible for my small nose to change like this (the clinic where I had surgery before said it was impossible to make it any higher, so I hadn’t expected much). I sincerely thank all the kind staff, the coordinator, and the director.
In conclusion, after a consultation, if you feel unsure, I think you also need the mindset to boldly give it up. For reference, when a doctor seems unconfident while saying it’s a difficult eye or a difficult nose, most surgeries with that kind of doctor seem to fail.. This is truly from my experience. Each clinic pursues a different design, and no matter how much you explain the nose you want, in the end a similar-looking nose tends to come out. Just because a place is famous doesn’t mean they’re all good. If you go to many consultations, you’ll feel it. Even if it’s bothersome, if you want to increase your chance of success, work hard and go to in-person consultations! I hope everyone walks only a flower path with a prettier face.
