I've wanted rhinoplasty for a long time, but I kept hesitating because I was anxious about whether I could find a hospital that understood my aesthetic sense and performed the surgery properly, and whether it could succeed. I went around to several consultations and had surgery last November at a hospital I found, and now it's been one month~ So there may still be a little minor swelling left, so please keep that in mind when looking
Before getting my nose done, people around me often said I looked masculine or dull I usually like dressing and styling myself in a feminine way, but no matter how much I dressed up, one nose ruined the overall image of my entire face, so it was so stressful.. I also realized all over again how much the nose affects things;
When I went around to a few hospitals for consultations, honestly at first there wasn't any hospital where I thought, this is the one!! so I was really upset.. It felt more like they would operate according to their own aesthetic sense rather than mine? Anyway, with plastic surgery, for me to like it, my own satisfaction is important too, so I started thinking, then why am I paying my own money to get surgery.. So I really needed a place where, as a doctor, they would listen to my opinion well + explain in detail what method would realistically make my current nose look the prettiest
That's how I ended up going to this hospital, but at first I went because the reviews here were so good. Still, I went thinking, if the doctor's consultation is bad, I'll drop it!! But actually the doctor's consultation was even better.. They carefully went through the problems with my nose one by one and made a surgical plan. It wasn't in the style of forcing various procedures; they confidently said that correcting the hump and placing silicone could make it much smoother than now, and I think that helped me a lot
So I had the surgery, but honestly, in the first week I regretted it a little.. lol Not because I was dissatisfied with the shape. At that time, I had a splint on anyway, so I couldn't see it, you know? But surprisingly, wearing the splint was sooo uncomfortable.. This varies by person, so just take it as a reference. I rarely experienced nasal congestion in my life, so I think it felt even worse;; But after removing the splint, it really became livable, and because I could clearly see how my nose changed, pain or whatever, checking the swelling in the mirror every day when I opened my eyes became my daily routine
And I heard from friends around me who have had plastic surgery that if it looks like this at one month, there's really not much swelling. I also find that so fascinating.. At another place, they even said I would need osteotomy, but here they said it was fully possible with correction alone, so I was really relieved
Everyone, if you're considering rhinoplasty because of a hump nose or bulbous nose, I hope you'll think more carefully unless you really feel during the consultation, this is the one!! There are truly many hospitals just in Seoul, and I think if you choose a hospital and doctor to suit your taste, you'll be able to like the surgical result that much more
