I had double eyelid surgery with natural adhesion, and because my eyes are close-set, I also had lower canthoplasty to make them look as unclose-set as possible. But I was told I didn’t have much room, so they couldn’t widen it very much. I’m not very knowledgeable about double-eyelid lines, so I asked the doctor to make it a line that would look pretty to him. The result was that, probably because I didn’t have much room for the lower canthoplasty, there isn’t a single visible trace of it. Even when I told people around me, they had no idea and actually asked me if I had even done it. I heard quite a few comments that I had just thrown my money away. Later I went back to the clinic and asked if the outer corner could be widened more, but they said that because of my eye bone structure, it couldn’t be opened any further.. If you’re thinking about lower canthoplasty, please remember that results vary from person to person, so don’t get swayed by dramatic review posts and think it through a bit more. I developed dry eyes after the lower canthoplasty. There was more loss than gain. At least I think the double eyelid surgery turned out well. The line isn’t especially pretty or flashy, but I’m just satisfied that it looks natural. The swelling in my eyes wasn’t severe, probably because it was natural adhesion, so that was good. Even after the lower canthoplasty, my eyes still look close-set. It really makes me realize again that cosmetic surgery still depends on the original facial foundation.
