I had my double-eyelid surgery when I was very young, so this was the first hospital where I had surgery, back in 3rd year of middle school. Because I was so young, the doctor was too careful and not overly aggressive. I had revision surgery 3 years later, but even so, I am satisfied that they did not overcorrect too much. I have been so afraid of botched results lately. I definitely had epicanthoplasty, but the hook-like shape remained. It was so natural that nobody could tell I had anything done. But honestly, it did not end up pretty. What I remember most is that I was going to ask for sedation anesthesia, but since it was a same-day operation and I could not say it, they only gave local anesthesia. I had heard the local anesthesia injections hurt a lot, so I was worried, but they really did not hurt at all, and only during the surgery did it hurt a little now and then. The calm classical music and the surgeon's kind tone helped me relax. Maybe because it was my first surgery, the swelling lasted a very long time.
