Before <before surgery><day of surgery> After <after surgery>I went to consultations at about 3-4 places and decided on surgery. I was only thinking about cheekbones, but another hospital recommended all three facial contouring procedures.. I felt like I couldn't handle such a big surgery, so I almost gave up, but I ended up having surgery at a hospital that really listened to my opinion that I only wanted my cheekbones done. It was also a place people I know had gone to, so I trusted it. Honestly, people I know told me my cheekbones weren't that big (their cheekbones were all very prominent, so they saw a big effect lol) and asked if I really needed to go as far as surgery, but it's all about personal satisfaction anyway lolol The hospital was honest too and said my cheekbones weren't particularly large, so it would just soften the look. They said there wasn't really any need to do my jaw area and that I should just get Botox lol
For the 45-degree cheekbone area, I wanted to leave it naturally, so I asked the director to correct it as they saw fit. I talked with the director up until the day of surgery about leaving an appropriate amount rather than making it completely straight. They said if too much was moved inward it could look a bit unnatural. I think the director doesn't like an excessive style.
On the day of surgery, after the surgery ended, I rested a bit and was discharged. The next day, while disinfecting, I received the compression band and had a CT scan. Hmm.. on the day of surgery, I just had swelling like someone who had a tooth pulled? and there wasn't major swelling.. As you can tell from the photos... It may differ from person to person.. but there was so little swelling that it was surprising lolololol The inside of my mouth throbbed a lot and hurt, and that lasted about two days. After that, the uncomfortable part was having to keep eating mainly soft foods.. It was more bearable than I expected, but still, I don't want to have anything like revision surgery haha.. Now the swelling has gone down quite a lot, and like I first discussed with the director, my facial line has become much softer, so I'm satisfied. Now even when I take pictures with a regular camera, my face shape looks smooth. My cheekbones weren't extremely large to begin with, so it's not a dramatic before-and-after difference, but surgery is all about personal satisfaction haha
