Regret after nose surgery 4 years ago

4 years ago, I made a big decision and had nasal tip surgery using cartilage and septal cartilage (no silicone). This was my first cosmetic surgery, and I was scheduled to have it at a clinic run by an acquaintance of my parents, so I didn’t even think at all about looking up information online or going around for consultations. I just went straight into it.

I wasn’t 100% satisfied right after the surgery. I don’t know if it was because my original nose was asymmetrical, but my nose looked different from each side. Maybe because the cartilage was shifted to the left, the left side looked natural and was at least okay, but the right side was too high by my standards. Because the cartilage was off-center, the columella wasn’t straight either. When I asked the doctor at the time, they said my nose was crooked, so doing it this way would look the most natural, and I let it go. Since there were no functional problems at all, I decided not to argue with this person anymore. I tried to get through it by thinking, “Don’t fall into useless worries and get depressed while looking in the mirror; time is the cure,” and focused on work.

I kept forcing myself to think it would get better once the swelling went down after 1 year, 2 years, once it settled, but then I realized that the slight whiteness showing at the nasal tip was a translucency issue, and all the fear and depression I had been trying hard to bury burst out at once.. Through internet searches, I ended up finding this community. I really want to stop my past self, and I just regret the surgery itself. What even is this damn nose, that my social avoidance has gotten worse and is affecting my daily life.. The situation is uncomfortable and frustrating in many ways. Even now, I’m going to work hard here to gather clinic information, remove everything inside my nose, and recover my mental state quickly.
