I had it done around last year~the year before at a place in Gangnam known for ptosis correction. It wasn’t a large hospital, but a place with one director. During the consultation, the director was calm and kind. The consultant also seemed nice, smiled easily, and did not feel fake; no pressure to book. Incisional ptosis correction (as an inner double eyelid) + epicanthoplasty came out to the mid-2 million won range.
Now that more than a year has passed since surgery, I’m living satisfied, but there wasn’t the kind of dramatic change people commonly imagine. People who knew me before plastic surgery say it was good that I had it done and that my impression improved a lot. People I met after surgery have no idea I had surgery unless I tell them. To put it positively, it turned out natural; to put it negatively, they aren’t particularly pretty eyes. Even though I had plastic surgery, my eye size is similar to ordinary people who have not had surgery, or maybe mine are still slightly smaller? In the end, there was no dramatic result like people imagine haha. Still, when I think of my old eyes, I feel even this much change is something to be grateful for, so I’m living satisfied. My original eyes had severe ptosis and were also short horizontally, so they were really not great haha...
Ah, but my left eye had always been uneven and opened less, and that was not corrected even after surgeryㅠ I thought ptosis correction would fix it, but my left eye still opens less, so the eye sizes are different.. So to match how wide my eyes open, I had revision surgery only on my left eye with a non-incisional buried-suture method, but not even a few days after the stitches were removed, it became small again... They say everyone’s eyes are a little uneven, but in my case the size difference between the two eyes is fairly obvious... More than anything, my right eye opens clearly, but my left eye feels like it opens less, so whenever I blink, I sometimes feel a strange difference because the force of opening is different between left and right. But if I have revision surgery again, it would be the third time, and I feel like my left eye might not stay healthy, so I’m just putting up with itㅋㅋㅋ Even putting up with it, it doesn’t interfere with living.. haha It’s just a bit uncomfortable ㅜㅜ
Still, when I think of my old eyes, I really think it’s a huge improvement, so I don’t regret it. I’m living satisfied. But absolutely NO dramatic change like that. I guess even having a face that takes well to plastic surgery is something you’re born with haha
