This is my one-month review after having two types of facial contouring surgery: cheekbone reduction and square jaw surgery!
- My square jaw and cheekbones, which stood out whenever I took photos or tied my hair up, had always been complexes for me. My chin tip was on the pointed side, so that was okay, but I really hated how wide and flat my face looked horizontally I had tried facial contouring injections and Botox too, but in the end I decided to shave the bone,,
- I looked into clinics through various app reviews and searches, and found a clinic specializing in facial contouring. I saw reviews saying some other clinics treated patients like a factory line. But I liked that this clinic specialized only in facial contouring, and even the clinic name somehow felt nice (thinking about it later, the director’s name was Director Oh Jung-seok I thought the clinic name was so witty). The reviews were all really good too, so I booked a consultation right away
- The nurses and the director at the clinic were all so kind. It wasn’t the stiff, sharp atmosphere you might imagine when thinking of a plastic surgery clinic; they were genuinely kind During the consultation, they only pointed out the areas I needed, and they also told me things I hadn’t thought of, like how my face shape could become and how it could look after surgery So I booked the surgery right away.
- What changed after surgery is that I’m definitely so, so satisfied whenever I take photos, look in the mirror, or tie my hair up I should’ve done it sooner... Honestly, it’s not a small surgery, so for a few days after the surgery I did think it was a bit hard, but once I got through just 5 to 7 days, after that all I could think was that I was really glad I did it My face has become so much slimmer and the horizontal width has decreased too,,, Even though I still have some residual swelling, I really like it I’m excited to see what it’ll look like once more swelling goes down
- During recovery, I diligently did cold compresses and also wore the compression band diligently. I managed my care with the medication and mouthwash prescribed by the clinic, plus a children’s toothbrush. When I felt like I was in a bit of pain midway through, I contacted the clinic a few times, and the director personally called me to check my condition. Since I’m from another region and it was hard for me to visit the clinic, he said he would fax a prescription to a pharmacy near me and told me to contact them anytime if I needed anything,,, I was so grateful Of course, my painful symptoms completely disappeared the next day or the day after without medication Thank you to the director and nurses for taking such good care of the aftercare too,,><
