It’s day 4 after getting two types of 3D facial contouring: jaw & cheekbones! I fasted from 12 o’clock the day before surgery and went to the clinic at 9 on the day of surgery. They did an antibiotic test and checked my blood pressure, then the director very, very simply drew the design on my face with a few quick strokes, and I went into the operating room! For general anesthesia, they told me, “Take a few breaths in~” Then they woke me up, so when I got up, ㅇㅅㅇ!! It was 1 o’clock (they said it ended at 12:50). Wow... as expected, it really was intense.. I do have pain in my jaw and cheekbones, but I think general anesthesia was harder for me ㅠ My throat felt like it was going to tear, and phlegm kept getting stuck ㅠ I also had a drain in my mouth, so even if I wanted to do something, I couldn’t, and it was driving me crazy.. I somehow expressed through body language that I wanted to drink water, so the nurse gave me little sips through a straw, but it was more like drizzle than welcome rain on cracked, drought-dry ground, so my throat hurt even more and I only got thirstier.. really... Anyway, after struggling like that, they removed the drain around 5 o’clock (it felt so refreshing!) and I went home! Day 1 I was shocked when I looked in the mirror.. seriously.. my face was swollen to twice its size, and it was going to swell even more from then on, so I wondered if my face might burst if it swelled more from there. Day 2 (Not realizing I wasn’t supposed to blow my nose) I blew my nose, and my cheekbone and eye area started swelling really badly.. One eye got so swollen I could barely see out of it. I’m still coughing up bloody phlegm. Day 3 The long-awaited peak swelling day.. Both eyes were swollen, and my lips were so exaggeratedly swollen as if I’d gotten fillers, about 4 times their usual size.. Yellow and purple bruising also started to appear. Day 4 The swelling is going down! (I still have phlegm.) The eye that wouldn’t open is opening now too (though it’s still like a toad eye), and my face looks like it has autumn leaves on it! haha It’s only been 4 days, so I can’t say for sure whether the surgery went well or anything, but so far I don’t feel like I made the right choice, and I’m regretting it.. It just hurts and hurts.. Among all the surgeries I’ve had so far, this is truly the worst, number one.. They say time is medicine, but every time I look in the mirror I feel so depressed, and I feel self-loathing... I wonder if I really spent money for this, and I just want time to pass quickly..
