It’s already been 7 years this year since I had nose surgery..
It seems like a lot of people posting reviews are those who just had their first surgery, so this may feel a little out of place,
but before getting nose surgery, there must be people who have various questions about side effects or long-term changes, so I’m leaving this here.
I had silicone + septal cartilage done in the provinces. My original nose was small and had almost no bridge. In terms of shape, rather than a bulbous nose or anything, my dissatisfaction was that my nasal bridge was too low.
So as soon as I became an adult at 20, on the recommendation of my mother, who had had nose surgery first.. I ended up getting rhinoplasty.
Right after surgery, I was very satisfied. It didn’t really look obvious and was natural.
But the morning after I drank a lot, the silicone lifted up.. And the area between the lifted silicone part and the flesh where there was no silicone looked like it was disconnected..
So I went straight back to the hospital where I had it done and immediately had revision surgery. Maybe because I was so young, I didn’t really get much explanation and just had revision surgery right away.
I think they probably shaved down the lower part of the silicone a bit. For the revision surgery, I returned to daily life almost immediately, with barely any recovery period.
But after that, the shape changed into a nose with only the nasal tip pointy, almost like a witch’s nose...
And as time went on, the nasal tip gradually lifted.. Now, people who know a bit about cosmetic surgery seem to recognize my nose right away when they see it.
So now my dissatisfaction with the nose shape, and my constant worry that my nose might get injured during exercise or daily life, have become much greater..
In conclusion, I’m looking into nasal implant removal surgery now, with the feeling that I want to go back even now.
If I had not done it in the provinces and had gone around for consultations in Seoul at places said to be better and more varied, would this not have happened? I think that’s something no one can know either..!
There are many people trying to get information for their first surgery, so seeing my post may feel like I’m dampening the mood...
But with an honest and sincere heart, I really recommend that those who have not yet had nose surgery think very carefully and decide cautiously.
