Before <before surgery> after after after <after surgery>-I had been getting fillers consistently -My natural nose was bulbous, with a hump.. -I was also unhappy that it was short -I was unhappy that it looked upturned too
Roughly, these were my nose concerns. Before going around for consultations, I talked a lot with friends who had already had nose surgery about what kind of hospital would be good to look at, and they said not to go to places that recommend rib cartilage right from the first surgery. Especially with autologous costal cartilage, they said it is better to use it only when it is ultimately truly necessary.
After looking into it, I found that there are cases where autologous costal cartilage is used for a first surgery too, but they said that is when the septal cartilage is insufficient, so I thought that probably was not my case~ But what do you know..ㅋㅋ After going to consultations, they said my septal cartilage was sufficient, but they had to assess firmness, and if it did not meet the criteria, donated rib cartilage would be mixed in? Some places recommended ear cartilage too.
Since the materials differed, it was so confusing. On top of that, every method for shaving down the hump was different. One place said my nasal bridge was thick. Another said it was not thick. Maybe each director has a different aesthetic standard.. It was really~ full of confusion..
Then I worried that if they touched the nasal bridge too aggressively for no reason, I might end up with a chalk-like nose, so I chose the place that suggested correcting the hump by shaving it down only slightly. Sigh, still, after wavering back and forth, I somehow found a hospital that spoke positively, and I like how I look after surgery, so I’m posting a few photos.
-A consultant and director who were confident in the hospital itself -Nostrils seen from the front became smaller -Length -The hump is gone -The straight-with-slight-curve line I wanted -I don’t need fillers anymore
These are the things I am satisfied with so far. With one big investment, not having to spend small amounts on fillers here and there feels more comfortable than I expectedㅋ Having to book another dermatology clinic appointment for no reason.. and go through the design again.. It really is such a hassle..ㅋ
