An acquaintance said it was a dermatology clinic they knew well and that it specialized in Ultherapy, so I went to a clinic in Cheongdam at the end of January and got the procedure without really asking or questioning anything. They said that instead of a price discount, they would also do additional procedures I wanted, so without any fear I got 4 cc of forehead filler + glabellar Botox, 2 cc of anterior cheekbone filler, 2 cc of nasolabial fold filler, and 1 cc of mouth-corner filler, all with Korean-made filler. How could I have been this clueless? ㅠㅠ I got 400 shots of Ultherapy around the jaw area, and they said they did 900 shots of Thermage over the whole face, but since I was under sleep anesthesia, I don’t know how it was done. When I woke up, I felt groggy and it seemed like my face had changed too.. But starting the next day, I slowly began to swell. They say forehead Botox makes you look like Avatar.. my cheekbones also swelled asymmetrically, and my jaw swelled too, so for a whole week I really looked like, “Who are you..?” ㅠㅠ After a week, the major swelling went down, but my forehead was a bit bumpy, my front cheeks were uneven, and it didn’t look like my face. Then the swelling moved down to my jaw, like a bulldog..ㅠㅠ I’m now in week 3, and I think almost all the swelling is gone. My face has become slimmer and the double-chin line seems a bit more defined, but since I had filler done at the same time, I can’t clearly tell the effect of Ultherapy + Thermageㅠㅠ They say the effect of Ultherapy + Thermage only really shows properly after 3 months..
The only time I had ever gone to a dermatology clinic before was to remove moles.. I had too many procedures done all at once.. I didn’t look into it properly, just got procedures recklessly because they said they would do them as a service, and because I didn’t like the result, I was extremely stressed for a week over my own ignoranceㅠㅠ There are also sunken areas on my forehead and front cheeks, so I think I’ll need a retouch. It’s only this manageable because the filler at least dissolves, but if this happened after plastic surgery, I really don’t even want to imagine it.
My acquaintance says the effect is good, so they do it every year.. Anyway, for those getting Ultherapy + Thermage, I think it would be better to focus on one procedure so you can accurately tell the effect. Thank you for reading my long rambling post.
