First of all, I focused more on the director than the clinic, and I didn’t even look at places that were too large/factory-style! I didn’t want to be treated like a mass-produced doll or customerㅠㅠㅠ lol
The line I wanted was a semi-out line close to in-out, and I wanted lateral lower canthoplasty
For the first round of choosing clinics, I looked at reviews on apps, selected directors who made lines I liked, then went through that director’s reviews in order for online research! So I went for consultations with the in-person list I narrowed down!
1. ㅁㅇㄷㅇ ㅂㅂㅊ: natural adhesion, lateral lower canthoplasty: really necessary? You can do it if you want 2. ㅇㄹ ㅈㅅㅂ: natural adhesion possible, but incision recommended because of fat. Incisional ptosis correction + 3 types of fat removal + lateral lower canthoplasty 3. ㅇㄴ ㄱㅌㄱ: both natural adhesion and incision possible. No space laterally, only lower canthoplasty. 4. ㅇㄹㅇ ㅇㄷㅅ: because there’s a possibility of loosening, partial incision only in the middle + no space laterally, so only lower canthoplasty would be needed, but then the effect wouldn’t be great, so not recommended
I went around like this, but the planned surgery date was approaching, I had finished going to consultations, there wasn’t a clinic that really pulled me in, and I wasn’t sure what surgical method was right, so I wondered if I should just live satisfied as is. Then I decided to do just a little more in-person research and started online research again!
For the second round, I think I mainly looked at directors who had experience at large hospitals and then moved to/opened a smaller place So the places I went to were
5. ㅇㅇㅍ ㄱㅊㅁ: recommended natural adhesion. Lateral lower canthoplasty: really necessary..? If doing it, only lower canthoplasty recommended, but even that wouldn’t be dramatic 6. ㅎㄴ ㅊㅈㅎ: choose between non-incisional ptosis correction or incision (no ptosis correction), both lateral and lower canthoplasty possible. Doing only lower canthoplasty is not recommended 7. ㅇㅇㅌ ㅇㅎㅂ: natural adhesion, lateral lower canthoplasty: really necessary? You can do it if you want, but since it’ll be non-incisional, it will loosen after a long time. - When I showed the eye photos I wanted, they said, oh, if you want this kind of feeling, doing it might be okay 8. ㄱㄴ ㅇㄱㅎ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I only went up to number 7, and I canceled number 8 because I thought going to more would only confuse me and be meaningless
For online research, I mainly looked at the overall line feeling shown in the reviews and the director’s preferred aesthetic(?), while when going in person, rather than looking at the line feeling itself, I think I focused on the explanation and understanding of my eyes, the clinic atmosphere, surgical method, etc.!
I also searched tons of reviews while doing online and in-person research, stayed up all night, and kept agonizing over itㅠ lololol So I’m sharing a simple surgery estimate? here! If I have time after surgery later, I’ll write a detailed in-person consultation review hahaha
If there are any blacklisted or bad reviews, please share...ㅎㅂㅎ
