My first surgery was natural adhesion, and it almost came undone, so I went around for revision surgery consultations ㅠㅠ I thought my eyes were asymmetrical, so I went to consultations with the goal of matching both sides + fixing the line again I’ll focus on the consultation details
Clinic: Sinsa ㅌㅇㅅ (ㅣㅔㅡ) I went because there were many revision surgery reviews There’s a lot of waiting, so you need to wait 20-30 minutes; I did too ㅠ The director explained things calmly and gently, but seemed very confident about the surgery They said my eyes fortunately aren’t extremely difficult eyes (because there is a lot of extra skin between my eyes and eyebrows) And they said my eyes are asymmetrical, but rather than it being a problem with the eyes themselves, it seems the line itself was set asymmetrically from the beginning They said the best option is to match the line while doing revision surgery with an incision I asked whether non-incisional would not work, and they said realistically, incision is best for matching the line, to prevent the line from overlapping after revision surgery.. And realistically, I don’t have that much fat covering my upper eyelids, but if I don’t want an overlapping line, they told me to consider upper eyelid fat repositioning too The director also confidently said that if I do epicanthoplasty together during revision surgery, my eyes would look more open and refreshed The line was also an in-out line that wasn’t high, so it looked okay But I was surprised by the unexpected diagnosis of fat repositioning.. and the cost was expensive too Still, it was a clinic I was curious about, so I think I did well going for an in-person consultation
Clinic: Apgujeong ㅁㅊㅍ (ㅏㅣㅁㅛ) This is a clinic I saw while watching YouTube, so I went for a consultation half out of curiosity and half with expectations The wait was about 5 minutes? It was short, and the consultation started right away (on a weekday) From the director’s view, my current line isn’t that low, but they said my eye-opening strength is weak and my habit? is to relax the strength, so my eyes look sleepier The director made a line for me and told me to open my eyes wide, so I did, and the line became really deep.. lol They said if I don’t want a line this thick, they don’t recommend changing much from my current line But what I felt during the consultation was that the director here really seems to pursue a natural look..!! They didn’t recommend canthoplasty or ptosis correction or anything like that to me at all, and recommended revision surgery only with incision They said things like, “Why do epicanthoplasty when you don’t have an epicanthal fold?” So I think it would suit everyone who wants a really, really natural result For me, I wanted the line to look clearly visible to some extent from the front and I wanted my eyes to change to a more open, refreshed look.. ㅠㅠ so I think it wasn’t a good fit Still, there was a lot of helpful consultation content
Clinic: Apgujeong ㅇㄹ (ㅗㄹㅗ) This is a place I went to after getting information from someone else in the community I waited about 10-15 minutes and had the consultation Like the other clinics, they also said revision surgery should be done with incision The director explained all the surgical methods and said that each person has a surgical method that suits them, and that operating with the right method is really important. They said it’s not that it has to be incision just because it’s a revision surgery, but simply that the method that suits my eyes is incision Also, my lines are asymmetrical, but they said the fixation depths are a bit different too lol.. They said the line can be matched by adjusting the fixation depth and height with incision And the director confidently said my eyes aren’t as extreme or difficult as I’m worried about and that they would match them for me But by this point, I started worrying whether incision would leave too severe a scar So when I asked, the director said marks and incision lines from incision inevitably have to occur Because it’s made while excising skin.. Instead, they said minimizing scarring by suturing delicately is the doctor’s skill And in my case, I don’t have that much fat, so they said I would probably have less bruising and swelling than during my first surgery The director also talked about their extensive experience doing revision surgeries and explained while showing various photos, so it was easy to understand and good They also said there was no particular reason for me to do epicanthoplasty and if I wanted to make my eyes bigger, it would be better to consider lateral canthoplasty within the possible space They said epicanthoplasty would make the distance between my eyes narrower It was a place where I unexpectedly had a long consultation, so I put down a reservation deposit here, but I still have 2 consultations left next week, so I plan to go to those and then make the final decision
