The filler I got in the past would swell when my physical condition was bad, and the line had become bumpy, which stressed me out so much that I thought, even if it gets completely lower, let's just get rid of it, so I searched through several apps and the internet. It was a dissolvable injection, but I might need a first and second round, so I wanted to look into it a bit, searching the internet and everything, and honestly, finding information was harder..
(I was going to go to places that looked advertised or famous, but even at famous places, doctors are people too, so there must have been customers they didn't match well with, right? ㅠㅠ Fundamentally, I did think maybe removing it from inside the body completely would be the best.. But rather than going straight to squeezing it out, incision, and something immediately aggressive, since I had used filler that could dissolve, I thought I should try a dissolving injection first.)
So it wasn't the place that looked the most famous for foreign-body removal (though it seems famous for noses or other areas), but the foreign-body removal information was written in detail too, so I made an appointment and went.
For my inquiries, I asked whether I could meet the director and have a consultation, and whether they could check with something like ultrasound too, and they said if I wanted it, they could do it if I paid, but the director could tell just by looking.. So that felt a bit off, but I thought the ingredients of dissolving injections would all be similar, and since the dissolving injection was the first step, I decided to go for now.
(Consulting with the manager was, anyway, the kind of predictable answer I could hear, and I asked which director would do it. But they said procedures that are not surgery are not designated by doctor, and they just assigned one on their own..; Still, it didn't seem like something too difficult, and I remembered posts from other people at other hospitals saying it dissolved well right after getting it, so I said I would get the procedure and leave. I thought here I would proceed after seeing a more detailed consultation? analysis? with the director.)
I did the allergy test and waited, and questions came to mind here.
1. Are they not using only undiluted hyaluronidase, but using it diluted? (I think I read that depending on the case, dilution may be necessary. But at least where I received it, it seemed like they were doing dilution, and what product it was (I couldn't properly confirm whether it was taken out of disposable packaging. But I think I saw the dilution process). They charged per 1 cc.
2. What is the dilution ratio and the reason?
After that, they told me to lie down, and the director came in. Since I hadn't spoken with the director precisely, I thought we would talk after he came in and have a bit of conversation about how it would proceed,
but he looked at my chart, lightly touched only the glabella area, and proceeded right away (it felt like it didn't even take 1 minute; I expected it to hurt a lot, but maybe I didn't feel it properly, because it hurt less than filler).
So I was disappointed? anxious, wondering if he did it just based on what the manager said without an accurate diagnosis, or if he only looked at the chart, but still I decided to wait and see (there was no allergic reaction).
As a result, the filler dissolved only partially (only the area near where the injection was inserted became soft or disappeared. It wasn't deeply sunken, but when I touched it, it felt like only there I could feel the actual nasal bridge. The area I wanted didn't seem to dissolve properly and I was really annoyed). In the end, I thought I should wait longer and then go to another hospital to get proper examination and consultation, whether for a dissolving injection or whatever..
I'm still watching it a bit more (I did look up that it is supposed to have an immediate reaction, but because of the skin condition and because I don't think it is good to get hyaluronidase again too soon, I'm waiting), and I plan to go to another hospital again.
In conclusion, at the first place where I got it, it did not dissolve the way I wanted (of course, it could be because there is some issue with my filler or because it is clumped. But only the exact area around where the needle was inserted became the softest, and the nasal ala? itself became lower in height, while the nasal bridge was what bothered me most, but since that area didn't dissolve properly, it looked even more demarcated).
I'm very disappointed. If it dissolved properly, money wouldn't be the issue, but since it wasn't handled properly, the money feels wasted too, and I feel unnecessarily anxious that maybe I need an incision after all.
If the hospital where I got this filler-removal injection had dissolved it well, I was going to consider nose surgery there too (they seemed famous for nose surgery; for nose surgery, I thought I might consult with the director I wanted). But it felt different from the detailed method shown on the site, and I wondered if they had thought of it too simply.
So I thought it would be right not to get nose surgery here either. (Maybe I just had bad luck with the director.)
For foreign-body removal (implant/filler), it is the part people worry about the most and even consider revision surgery for, so personally I thought it should be handled in a way that feels more detailed and reassuring, but I wonder if other hospitals are like this too.
After a bit more time passes, I plan to go to another hospital and get a detailed consultation, whether for a dissolving injection, a filler-removal injection, or a procedure.
At that time, I'm going to try ultrasound or CT or something ㅋㅋ It's annoying ㅋㅋㅋ But what can I do? I'm most annoyed at myself for getting filler ㅎㅎ
Personally, if you are thinking of getting filler in an area where the line shows clearly, I think it would be best to do it surgically from the very beginning (whether using an implant or not, a surgical method). If you get filler, later when you want another surgery, you have to dissolve it and then do things....
