I got double eyelid surgery in Seomyeon, Busan 3 years ago. My older cousin had it done and it turned out naturally well, so I did it too. Now, if I don’t say anything, nobody knows I had double eyelid surgery. I had it done without knowing anything, led by my mom’s hand, so I didn’t even know what eye direction I wanted, but the director handled it well.
Now that I’m older, I realized I have sunken eyes with a close eyebrow-to-eye distance, so the eye shape I originally wanted was impossible from the start. I had taken photos of big, round eyes to several places. Some said it couldn’t be done, and some said they could do it and told me to come to them. I almost ruined my life.
Where I went, the director was unfriendly, unlike on YouTube, but in conclusion did a good job. It’s a bit uneven so I thought about doing it again, but that’s also because my face itself is uneven, and if I start getting more surgery over something like this there will be no end, so I let go of the greed.
Before getting double eyelid surgery, think about what your own eye shape is like and don’t be greedy. Natural is best.
