Even after getting double eyelid surgery before, my eyes still looked plain and stuffy, so I was debating whether to get canthoplasty or redo the double eyelid surgery. I looked through reviews and found a clinic that created the kind of look I wanted, so I went for a consultation right away. I heard there were a lot of people, so I was worried the wait would be long, but maybe because I went for the first morning slot, I didn’t have to wait long. When I talked with the director, they were pleasant and I could feel that they examined me carefully, so I was drawn to the clinic. I also liked the line they marked for me, so I didn’t visit any other clinics and booked the surgery right away.
On the day of surgery, I saw the director first and had the design done before the procedure, and I really liked that it didn’t feel like a factory-style clinic. The surgery finished faster than I expected, and when I woke up from anesthesia, the recovery room was a private room, so I rested very comfortably before leaving. I slept for about an hour, woke up from anesthesia, got my prescription, came home, did cold/warm compresses, and intentionally sat upright or walked around the house to reduce swelling.
These are the before and after photos. It looks like it turned out well with a glamorous look, right? It came out exactly how I wanted, so these days I’m living for doing my makeup ㅎ0ㅎ
A little while ago, I went in for a follow-up! I saw that many places don’t have the director check you personally, but here, the director who performed the surgery saw me directly and checked everything thoroughly. I asked a ton of questions, and they kindly answered every single one. I think I chose the right clinic.
Since this was revision surgery, I thought my eyes would swell more, but in less than a week, most of the major swelling went down and the line became clear, so I’m very satisfied. It feels like I have more strength opening my eyes than before, and the stuffy feeling is gone, so I’ve changed my makeup style a lot too. As long as the line doesn’t come undone, I don’t think I’ll ever touch my eyes again.
