2 years into orthodontic treatment after extractions

I started orthodontic treatment in December 2019, and I am now two years into braces.

At the time, I went to a famous orthodontic clinic in Gangnam, the one many of my friends around me had used.

When you first go in for a consultation, they take photos of your face and teeth from various angles with a camera. Then the director recommends the orthodontic method that suits you based on those photos.

The director has a humorous and kind personality.

Based on the director's recommendation, I am currently undergoing extraction-based orthodontic treatment over a period of two and a half years.

Because my mouth protrudes quite a bit, what takes others about a year and a half is taking me about two and a half years, they said.

First, they spend several months using rubber to secure the space between the molars and widen the space in the palate.

The extractions were done much later.

The extractions hardly hurt at all. The director said not to put up with it if it hurts during extraction, and if I say it hurts, they make the anesthesia much more thorough.

It's now been a little over a year, and both my upper and lower teeth have become neatly aligned.

I like that the clinic has a systematic appointment system.

The price is a bit expensive.
