Before<before orthodontic treatment><during orthodontic treatment><protruding mouth/receding chin near the end of treatment>I had a mouth that stuck out a lot and a receding chin since I was young. It was cute when I was little, but as I got older... I think I started around the end of 6th grade in elementary school, and it seems like it took about 3 years. It was such a severe case that the dental clinic director said I would probably need surgery, but I was scared, so I did orthodontic treatment first. Now that I’m older, I want more improvement, so I’m considering surgery for my receding chin too. I first had orthodontic treatment at an orthodontics-specialized dental hospital in Apgujeong, and for receding chin surgery, I’m looking into dental clinics specializing in facial contouring. When I look at other people, it seems like even when something can be done with orthodontic treatment, they go straight to a plastic surgery clinic. I’m also worried about future side effects, and since I think orthodontic treatment can improve things a lot, I recommend doing orthodontic treatment first and then getting plastic surgery!
