Hello, I had surgery on March 29 at a hospital known for zygoma surgery.
I usually don’t have much facial fat, so considering cheek hollowing,
I had cheek hollowing correction + zygoma reduction together..
They say that by week 2, the major swelling from zygoma surgery goes down, but my face is still rock-hard, big, and swollen..
I don’t know if this went well. I’m so anxious, and it’s already week 3..
I don’t know if it’s because of swelling, but the area from my temple to my cheekbone is still protruding in a bumpy way.
When I touch it, wondering if it’s because of swelling, I can feel bone.. somehow... I usually have strong instincts too.. and I feel like it may not be only because of swelling. It must be swelling, right? It has to be swelling.. It must just be going down later than other people’s.. I tried to think that,
but today, even though there is swelling, I saw a shadow on my left cheek like cheek hollowing that goes too far inward into my face, and now I’m definitely anxious..
Is this really okay... sob sob... I’m so anxious.. I expected this surgery thinking my facial width would decrease, but somehow even at week 3 my face looks wider sideways. I’m so, so anxious.
The first photo is before zygoma surgery, and the second photo is 17 days after zygoma surgery.. The third cheek hollowing photo was taken on day 14, and now it’s worse than that.. Am I really okay?
The hospital said I would see the doctor after one month, but would it be better to mention it when I go in for care this Friday??
