Before<left before surgery, right after surgery>1) My nose concerns ㅠㅠ My hump was severe, and my nasal tip drooped so much that it somewhat looked like an arrow nose. My overall face is on the glamorous side, but I felt like my nose didn’t match my image well, so I decided to have surgery. I wanted a straight-to-slightly-curved line for my nose, and rather than a too~ natural feel, I think I preferred looks like high, natural yet defined, and glamorous lol Looking at reviews of the hospitals I visited for consultations, they were all in the natural yet defined/glamorous direction ㅠㅠ lol
2) Reason for choosing no implant Originally, I was looking into silicone. But the only hospital where I ended up getting my rhinoplasty was the one that first asked me whether I wanted to do it without an implant because it was possible..! Other hospitals didn’t really bring it up, and diagnosed that it would probably come out pretty if I put in 4 mm silicone.. lol But when this place said surgery was possible without an implant too, I was tempted.
3) Reason for deciding on the hospital As I mentioned earlier, it was a place that said no implant was possible, so I already had about 70% confidence, and I trusted how the very experienced director explained only the surgeries that were necessary.. and carefully examined my nose from different angles while explaining what kind of surgery would make it turn out well. He said the septal cartilage alone would be enough without needing to mix other materials, and confidently said that if he refined the hump and did osteotomy to reduce the width of the nasal bridge, it would become slim..! Since I was looking into surgery for the first time, I felt this hospital suited me well and wanted to entrust it to them, so I decided on surgery, yup..!!
4) Surgery process Day of surgery - I arrived, filled out the surgical consent form, changed clothes, and had another design consultation with the director.. I was really nervous and honestly even scared. Did I say I’d do this for no reason? While I was having all these thoughts, I had already taken the elevator and entered the air-shower room.. lololol I thought I couldn’t back out here, so I should just think of it as sleeping and waking up.. this was my decision.. I kept calming myself down and fell asleep under anesthesia~ ㅠㅠ When I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room, and I used a 2-person room.. Maybe there were no patients overlapping with me, because even though it was a 2-person room, I was the only one in the room. After I came out, I listened to more explanations about recovery and precautions, took a taxi, and toddled home.. I was too sleepy to eat properly, so I ate some easy-to-eat porridge and fruit, took medicine, and passed out again lol... Until one month - They removed the cotton around the time I felt I’d reached my limit from my throat being dry because of the cotton, and removed the splint around the time I felt I’d reached my limit from the stuffiness and itching around the splint lol In the early period, while looking in the mirror, I listened again to the director explain how much the swelling would go down and how much the height would come down, and received swelling care..^^ After going several days without missing a day, I got tired of going to the hospital, so I just walked at the level of taking a lap around the park near my house.. I didn’t do anything particularly special for swelling care because I thought time would resolve it.. Currently up to month 3 - I had surgery at the end of August, and now it’s almost 3 months. Sensation has returned all the way to the nasal tip, and now I keep thinking it feels completely like my own nose. My friends also say my face feels familiar nowㅎ They say 6 months is the stable period for rhinoplasty, so I’m thinking the swelling will keep going down until then and am watching a bit more, but even now the nasal bridge looks more refined than before, so I’m satisfied! ^^
5) Summary I did it without an implant, and the nasal tip was septal cartilage! I received osteotomy and hump correction lol I never want to experience cotton panic again I’m glad I chose a private recovery room. It made me think this is why people don’t go to factory-style clinics. Resting quietly and leaving was totally possible
