Be Careful About Tooth Extraction for Orthodontic Treatment

I had orthodontic treatment 10 years ago. The purpose was to correct my upper front teeth because they were crooked, and the clinic said both extraction and non-extraction were possible, but if I wanted a dramatic aesthetic effect, they recommended extraction. At the time, they said my mouth protruded very slightly, and that if extraction orthodontics moved my mouth inward, I would have a Western, sophisticated Gangnam-style impression. I did extraction orthodontics, and I started regretting it when it was about 50% done. I expected my jawline to become slimmer, but once my mouth went inward, I started to look like Samsung’s Lee Jae-yong. For a face like mine, the mouth needs to look slightly full and protruded like Han Ji-min’s to look much younger and suit me better, but because of the extractions, my lower face feels kind of pinched and narrow. And it gave me a bit of an underbite-like look. If extraction is an option when you get orthodontic treatment, please choose carefully.
