Yesterday something so funny happened that I couldn't hold back, so while laughing my nose spread very slightly, and maybe because of that, since then the mucous membrane inside my nose has been stinging and hurting. This also depends on the clinic, but some clinics leave self-disinfection and ointment application to the patient. The clinic where I had it done says that since the patient doesn't know where the stitches are, I shouldn't touch inside the nose and should come to the clinic for disinfection. There's no cotton inside my nose, it's dry, and I'm not applying ointment, so the inside of my nose is drying out completely. Maybe because of that, people usually say blood or nasal discharge runs continuously, but for me, only a little blood flowed on the first day, and since then absolutely nothing has come out. It's just a drought inside my nose.
Another interesting thing about the clinic where I had it done is that they told me not to take walks? So I asked, "Isn't walking supposed to help swelling go down a lot?" and they said that's true for eye surgery or other plastic surgeries, but for rhinoplasty it's better not to walk. (Is that really true?) They don't have swelling-laser care or anything like that, and they told me to eat well, sleep well, rest well, and wait for the swelling to go down according to my body's natural rhythm.
I'm usually the type who swells a lot, so it's really surprising that the surgical swelling isn't severe. The surgery also finished within 30 minutes to 1 hour (the longer the surgery time, the greater the swelling). I guess it's probably because I'm avoiding all sweet, salty, spicy, and hot foods. Also, when I sleep, I always sleep with my upper body raised about 45 degrees.
