Hi everyone. I thought a lot about revision surgery, and while recovering I had all kinds of random thoughts, but I got through it all, finished the surgery well, and came back, so I’m going to leave a short review. What I say isn’t the answer or anything, and I’m nobody special, but.. when I was looking into revision surgery, even hearing someone else’s subjective experience sometimes comforted me physically and mentallyㅋㅋㅋ so I’m writing this just in case
The implant I originally had was Sebbin Sub, and I had it for about 4 years. The texture felt really bad, it was hard, and I also had occasional pain, so that was when I first thought of the word revision surgery. When I had an ultrasound, they said it was capsular contracture. They said the capsule had thickened and that it would probably be better to get capsulectomy soon. I seriously had my first mental breakdown, but I was still relieved that there didn’t seem to be a rupture.. Still, in that situation my choices were removal or revision surgery... so I remember pulling myself together because I felt like there was nowhere to back away to and I had to decide quickly one way or another
I went for consultations at places famous for revision surgery, and the place I ultimately chose was ㄱㄹ. Among the places I visited, it simply had the best aftercare, and since I didn’t have a guardian, I was so relieved that hospitalization was possible. It was a breast surgery clinic, so I felt I wouldn’t have to worry later about ultrasounds or checkups, and that’s why I decided on it. + I also liked that AS was free once for life. I felt like I wouldn’t have to worry even if any problem like contracture or rupture happened in the future!
Since I was having surgery alone, I was extremely nervous, and they say revision surgery hurts much less than the first surgery, but you never know with people’s situations, so I applied for hospitalization and packed snacks and this and that. Every now and then I had moments where reality hit meㅋㅋㅋ but in the end, I think I did well to get the revision surgery. I’m much more satisfied with the shape now, and I don’t know if it was because of the contracture or because the original surgery had gone wrong, but the asymmetry and the distorted, dented breast shape were all fixed. The texture is much softer too, so I have no regrets at all about having surgery. Rather, I think if I had removed them, I would have regretted it deeply
Even when I was hospitalized on the day of surgery, starting with meals, all the staff took such good care of me that nothing was difficult. I lay there watching Netflix, fell asleep, and the next day they removed the bandage, checked my progress, and I was discharged. I didn’t even feel like I needed to take a taxi because my condition was so goodㅋㅋㅋ And after I got home, washed my feet and hands, changed into pajamas, and lay down right away to sleep, there was nothing special except that I suddenly woke up startled because it seemed like I had unknowingly been sleeping on my side, then lay straight again and slept.. I think it was a smooth surgery
For aftercare, just as I was told, they provide care for 1 year, and they do various types of care. Even while waiting, I sit in a massage chair and wait, so it feels like I’m being treated properly?? Still, I don’t think I’ve ever felt that the surgery cost was a waste!
Also, removal surgery isn’t exactly that cheap either. So if there are people who think they’ll choose removal because revision surgery and removal both feel financially burdensome, I hope you’ll think about it a little more.. Apparently there are quite a few people who regret removing them and go back to have implants inserted again. At the very least, I hope you make the best choice that minimizes regret when you look back (In my case, the hospital where I first had surgery completely closed down and changed into a dermatology clinic, so I had no choice but to look for a new hospital. But if you can get revision surgery or removal at a lower cost at your original hospital, that’s fine too!!)
It was plastic surgery I got to become prettier and happier, so whatever choice everyone makes, I hope you get results that make you happy and satisfiedㅎㅎ I’ll come back from time to time with updates!! For reference, I had Motiva 300 inserted and received revision surgery through an inframammary fold incision
