First surgery > Around August 2023 Reason > I’m on the taller side and not the type with a lot of body fat, but since I didn’t have breasts either, I felt like I had no confidence in myself and like I didn’t have that feminine appeal, so that’s what made me think I wanted breast surgery. It wasn’t some grand reason.
People say breasts are all about how they feel, so I touched a bunch of implants, and Mentor Smooth felt the most like real breasts to me, so I was like, I’m definitely going with this!! I had surgery with Mentor Smooth and got 300 cc on each side. For the incision, I heard the inframammary fold incision shows when you lie down, so I got the transaxillary incision, but either way, it still shows lol (I think it’s best to just choose the incision that works best for you). But the problem was ㅠㅠ the asymmetry on both sides was really severe. As time passed, the feel was supposed to soften, but it didn’t soften at all, and it became harder, and it would hurt like it was being squeezed, almost as if capsular contracture had developed...
Yeah.. it was capsular contracture... apparently^^ It was capsular contracture on both sides, but they said the capsule had formed especially thickly on the left side.....
When I first heard that news, I thought I was going to faint. I knew capsular contracture could of course happen, but I thought it would happen a long time after surgery, not just 1 year later like this...
So without even getting to enjoy any satisfaction from my breast surgery, I had to look into revision surgery again^^ The hospital where I had my first surgery said they would provide after-service, but I said no thanks. I didn’t even like the shape to begin with, and then capsular contracture this early... I had no trust at all, so I just couldn’t lie on the operating table for the same doctor again. I started looking for hospitals again.
I wondered if I had decided too easily without going to enough in-person consultations, only looking at those kinds of apps/sites, so when I looked into revision surgery, I went around to consultations like crazy~ I think I really visited every place known for lots of experience and a lot of revision cases, regardless of whether they were large hospitals, small hospitals, private clinics, or specialty clinics.
During that process, it was really hard to find a place I loved.. but people say that if you keep trying, you eventually get results. Anyway, after many visits, I came across a hospital that offers lifetime after-service coverage, provides various types of aftercare, can do breast examinations (since I was looking for a hospital again because of capsular contracture, these 3 things were the most important to me), has a director with over 20 years of experience, and can disclose the full CCTV footage!
When I first met the director, my condition was really...^^^ I was in total despair, like how am I supposed to live with these breasts. They first checked with ultrasound, and as I explained earlier, the director said there was capsular contracture on both sides, especially worse on the left. They said the breast pocket would need to be remade from the beginning, but that there was no particular need to change the cc, so we kept it at 300. But for the implants, I first told them I wanted Motiva because I wanted to part ways with Mentor, and the director said okay, so I had surgery with Motiva 300 through an inframammary fold incision.
(For reference, my stats are height 168 cm, weight 52 kg, breast pocket 13.2 on the left and 13.6 on the right, rib cage 72. Anyone who wants to reference the cc size can!)
And now it’s been one month since the revision surgery, and the difference is honestly unbelievable. It’s so much more natural, the upper fullness is gone, the asymmetry has been corrected, and now it finally feels closer to the breasts I truly wanted. During the consultation, on the day of surgery, and after surgery, the consultant always took such good care of me, whether through KakaoTalk or at the hospital, so I could have the surgery with peace of mind. I trusted the director going into surgery too, but I was so grateful because the result turned out even better than I expected. Isn’t this what people call the hands of a god... The capsule removal was done cleanly too, and in so many ways I’m really completely satisfied. On the day of revision surgery, I even discharged myself confidently on my own.. That’s how good my condition was. I even washed my hair right away on day 3 lol
At week 2, there was still quite a bit of swelling, but now it’s already much softer~ What’s fascinating is that compared to my first augmentation, my recovery speed is seriously so, so fast, and the tissue softening and the shape settling are happening so quickly that I’m amazed every day lol. After removing all the capsule, the feel is definitely really good.... I tried taking photos from a slightly different angle and from the front too.. I like how the line falls softly from the shoulder and arm area, and the inframammary fold seems to make a pretty U-line too.. I don’t think I’ll have to worry much about the shape going forward! They say revision surgery shape settles fully in about 3 months, and that seems right.
When I was first preparing the money for revision surgery, I felt hopeless and wondered if this was really the right thing, but after surgery, that thought completely disappeared. These days, every day feels worth living, my daily life itself feels much more relaxed, and after getting rid of one huge source of stress, my head feels clear haha. Having to manage everything again is a hassle, but I’m living thinking it’s worth it.
I’ll have to visit the hospital often for a while! Whenever I get any good photos then, I’ll bring them back and write another review lol. Right now the feel still isn’t comp~letely soft, but it’s at the level where I can tell it’s softer than before. Once I reach the 3-month mark, I wonder how much better the feel will get.. I’m looking forward to it. I’m going to live for the fun of recording my progress from now on!!
