I’ve had buried-suture double eyelid surgery 4 times... At first I kept getting it redone at a sketchy clinic because it kept coming undone, and after that I found a famous place near Apgujeong Station and paid a lot to get it done.
Even before the buried-suture surgery, my eyes were the kind where double eyelids would appear and disappear, and when the line was the one I wanted, I held the line well and asked them to do it exactly like that.
You might think it would be easier because my eyes already had that line, but cases like this are harder to satisfy... Even if you have the line you want and the doctor draws it there with a pen... Depending on whether the thread is placed below or above the thickness of that pen line, even that tiny, tiny difference makes the feel completely different. And then local anesthetic goes into the eyelid area, so the pen line that was drawn gets thicker, right?? On top of that, doctors generally don’t take the middle, but try to make the line thin by placing it as low as possible ㅠㅠ Because if a problem happens from setting it too high and you have to loosen it, it’s much easier later, once it loosens, to just place the line above it, and the result is better too...ㅠㅠ So with buried-suture double eyelids, people usually aren’t satisfied in one go and often raise the line little by little over several times, like celebrities... (Since there’s less tissue damage, maybe it can be done multiple timesㅜ)
Anyway, I’m satisfied now... And I went back to the expensive place 2 years later asking them to change the line, and even the consultant said I only had to pay 300,000 won for anesthesia, but the director just did it for free ㄷ ㄷ They said that clinic has some noblesse oblige mindset or whatever, and I really felt it then... aftercare service that makes the wickedly high initial cost feel not wasted ㄷ ㄷ ...
