Review of Pre- and Post-Operative Orthodontic Treatment Period for Two-Jaw Surgery at a Dental Hospital

I needed to look into surgery for functional reasons as well, so I had surgery at a dental hospital affiliated with a university hospital. If you are focusing on aesthetics, you might think it is better to do it at a plastic surgery clinic, but I am very satisfied with my current line, and it has been refined so well that no one can tell at all. Honestly, the fact that I do not have to worry about side effects gives me the most peace of mind.

Because mine was a revision surgery, I first had to restore what had been damaged before doing the surgery, so pre-operative orthodontic treatment took 3 years and 6 monthsㅎ... They say I need post-operative orthodontic treatment too, but I just have not been going back. For post-operative orthodontic treatment, the hospital estimated 1 year and said I should wear orthodontic appliances afterward, so allowing plenty of time, it came out to about 5 years.

It is true that it takes a long time, and it is also true that there is the inconvenience of having to do orthodontic treatment. But if your surgery failed, I think it is more appropriate to go to a university hospital or dental hospital rather than looking for a plastic surgery clinic for functional two-jaw surgery.
