3-Week Review of Hump Nose Surgery

My nasal tip was on the blunt side, so from the front, my nose looked prominent, and I was stressed every time I looked in the mirror, so I decided to have surgery. Because it was a hump nose, my nasal line was also unevenㅜㅜ

I prefer a natural look, so I asked the director to make it look natural. They said they would shave down the hump, do a slight osteotomy because the nose looked wide, and lift the columella because it was a drooping columella nose. Also, I was worried that if the nasal tip was made slimmer, the nostril wings would look wide, so I said I wanted alar reduction too, but the director said my nose did not need alar reduction.

I was scared and worried, but after I fell asleep and woke up, the surgery was over... hahaha After rhinoplasty, because of the cotton inside my nose, I had to breathe through my mouth, so my mouth got dry and I barely slept. But there was no pain or anything! After the cotton was removed, it became much more comfortable, and from day 4 the swelling started to go down. My glabella area looked very gathered, so I worried that my eyes had become close-set, but as the swelling went down, it got better. I slept sitting up, took walks, and drank pumpkin juice to manage the swelling, and nothing was particularly difficult. Other than being careful because there was an implant in my nose, it was okay.

It has been about 3 weeks now, the major swelling is all gone and only minor swelling remains. The nasal tip has become slimmer, so it looks pretty even from the front, the nasal bridge has naturally become higher, and the line is smooth, so even though I had many worries because it was my first surgery, I feel like I did well to have it done!
