Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

6 months after zygoma revision surgery, I’m only now starting to like it

Even after having cheekbone surgery as part of contouring surgery, I kept hearing that my face looked big and my impression looked strong, so it was stressful T_T. Even when taking photos, I was always either shooting only from the front or covering my facial line with my hand. In the end, I decided to get revision cheekbone surgery, and this time I carefully looked for a place that would not have a weak effect. Since I was disappointed with my first cheekbone surgery, it was most important to find somewhere that could properly create the facial line I wanted, rather than simply reducing the cheekbones. Then, while looking through Cookie reviews, I saw a lot of cheekbone surgery cases, and the results ranged from a natural line to a clearer, more glamorous doll-like line. During the consultation, I heard from Director Jeong Seong-mo that instead of doing cheekbone surgery in only one way, he considers the surgical method according to the area where the cheekbones are developed, such as high zygomatic osteotomy and L-osteotomy, to match the line the patient wants, and I thought he was a real expert. For someone like me getting revision cheekbone surgery, that kind of thing felt pretty important. Since I had already experienced the first surgery, it was hard to decide based only on “we reduce the cheekbones.” The consultation with the director was good too. He listened first to what I wanted, and instead of simply deciding everything based on the doctor’s judgment, he explained what was possible and what was difficult, then helped choose the direction that fit my face. And because they showed me a lot of CT cases for revision cheekbone surgery, I thought this was the place and booked the surgery. Week 1> On the day of surgery I was so nervous, but they checked the design again before surgery, which made me feel a little more at ease. The first two days after surgery hurt more than I expected T_T. I tend to swell a lot, so even though I rested for a week, my face was still very swollen. At that stage, I could hardly see the result at all, so I just waited for the swelling to go down haha. 1 month> Around a month later, the initial swelling had definitely gone down a lot. Still, I’m the type who keeps swelling for a long time, so there was still swelling around the chin tip and the side cheek area, and I wore a mask for a while. Even so, when I looked at my side profile, I could see that the cheekbone line, which had been my biggest stress point, looked more organized than before, so I started to feel satisfied little by little. In particular, because this was revision cheekbone surgery, I was very worried about the result, but this time it seemed like the line was being shaped in the direction I wanted, so I felt relieved. 4 months> After about 4 months, my face looked much more natural. There was still a little residual swelling around the chin tip and side cheek, but compared with the beginning it had really gone down a lot. Rather than feeling like the cheekbones were simply reduced a lot, it felt like the line was refined to suit my face shape, which I liked. Because I also had the square jaw and chin tip done together, I was satisfied that the overall contour line was tidied up, rather than it feeling like only the cheekbones had changed separately. 6 months> It has now been about 6 months since the revision cheekbone surgery, including the full 3-part contouring. I’m the type who keeps swelling for a long time, so I think there is still a little residual swelling left, but it feels like it’s still going down. Before surgery, having my cheekbones made taking photos stressful, but now I don’t automatically cover my face when taking pictures like I used to haha. More than anything, the burden of undergoing cheekbone revision again was big, but this time I’m most satisfied that the cheekbone line was refined in the direction I wanted. It was refined naturally, but from the side the cheekbones are definitely less prominent, and because I did the square jaw and chin tip together too, the overall facial line seems much cleaner. I think a little more residual swelling will still go down, so I’m planning to wait until the final result. For those of you considering revision cheekbone surgery like I did, I think it’s better not to look only at before-and-after photos, but also at the surgical method that can create the cheekbone line you want and whether there are actually various cases to review before deciding.
